There were a few things I avoided on purpose. First of all, the blatant negativity. Everyone starts again tabula rasa and pretends there's never been any bad blood for Allie's sake. Second, I don't make everything start at level 0 again. This isn't Metroid or Kingdom Hearts where all your powers reset every time you save the world.

And lastly, I really went out of my way to avoid the New Guy syndrome. Everyone has to teach the new player and it's kind of annoying kind of sweet. I made sure Allie was good at it from the start and didn't need anyone to hold her hand.

To be fair Kingdom Hearts at least has some justification for ‘starting at level zero’.

KH1...first in the franchise, course you start at level 1.
Chain Of Memories, entirely different combat system based on the setting turning your ‘memories’ into cards.
KH2, Your body’s been essentially asleep and your brain’s just been put back in order after CoM. So combination of muscle memory atrophy and recovery from scrambled brains.
Dream drop distance, it was all a dream. Says so in the title...more complicated than that but that is the basic premise.

Birth by sleep is entirely different people as a prequel, doesn’t count either way.
358/2 Days...no idea, Roxas has sora’s old body technically so should be just as capable as him. An example that actually makes no sense.

Metroid though yeah, Samus might wanna invest in something so she doesn’t lose all her stuff every time.

"Samus might wanna incest"?
I know that it is a typo and you might want to fix that.
